Our films have screened at International Film Festivals such as FESPACO, Burkina Faso, Dak’art, Senegal, Filminitiativ Festival, Germany and the Cinema du Francophone Film Festival in Ghana. Some of our clients include IFAD, Still Life Projects LLC, Electric Airwaves and Ginger Ink EPZ Ltd.
At Roaming Akuba Films, we aim to tell compelling stories with beautiful visuals, technical excellence and with the utmost professionalism.
Fixing: We clear foreign film crews from customs, arrange filming permits, locations, accommodation, film equipment and other film consultancy services for foreign film crews who may be interested in filming in Ghana.
Filmmaking: We make films both for corporate organizations, brands and for film festival screenings. We conduct research, shoot, edit and deliver on time.
“An African Maestro” details the life and works and legacy of ethnomusicologist Emeritus Prof. Kwabena Nketia. A former professor at the University of Southern California and the University of Ghana, he has over 100 musical compositions to his credit. Professor Nketia is the only recognized authority on African Music on the African continent. The Goethe Institut-Ghana is funding this project with support from The Institute of African Studies, University of Ghana, Legon.
